Launcher

The PlayQ4.net Launcher is a legacy project developed by falcuma in 2021. It is a Windows desktop app that made Quake 4 multiplayer easier to set up and configure.

Legacy

The Launcher is no longer being developed and will be replaced by the new Web-Launcher.

#Functionality

Setup
Detects the Steam Quake 4 installation and syncs map packs and q4max mod configs into the q4 directory.

Configurator
A GUI for changing settings such as FOV, player model, crosshair, sensitivity and keybinds.

Server browser
Shows all online servers with their ping, player count, map and game mode. This allows players to find and connect to servers without having to use the in-game server browser.
